Father God, thank You that You Give “ME, JESUS!” JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! This God Sonnet was inspired by this YouTube video of Danny Gokey’s, “Give me Jesus.” This God Sonnet was also inspired by the word, “wile,” in this Bible Verse: “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11). On a more personal note, this was probably one of the easiest God Sonnets i’ve ever written. i chose to not rhyme any word with JESUS. i chose to not capitalize any word from this world but to capitalize every word from JESUS. It was the easiest God Sonnet to write, but it probably is the most difficult to live, i.e., to no longer live and give (BOTH) “me” but to now and forever more Live and Give (BOTH) “ME, JESUS!” If i thought i could live and give (BOTH) “me” to all, i’d do BOTH. But i have nothing and am nil (BOTH) when it comes to “me,” so i Live and Give all “ME, JESUS! “i have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer i who live, but Christ Lives in ‘me,’ and the life which i now live in the flesh i live by faith in the Son of God, who Loved ‘me’ and Gave Himself for ‘me'” (Galatians 2:20). That Lives and Gives (BOTH) It all right there, doesn’t it? Will you join “me” in “ME, JESUS?” AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN! i pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and “ME” Name of JESUS CHRIST, the NAME above every other name, including my own name. This prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help “me,” Father God, where my faith and my belief are not “ME, JESUS!” AMEN!
(God’s Sonnet by timothy j. verret; “it’s how i cope to hope [BOTH] in “ME, JESUS!” this daily leavened bread.”)
when you are afraid, God Gives you JESUS.
when you are alone, God Gives you JESUS.
they give you this world. you give “WHO? JESUS!”
they give you this wile. you give “WILL? JESUS!”
when i am at none, God Gives me JESUS.
when i am nothing, God Gives me JESUS.
they give me this world. i give “WHY? JESUS!”
they give me this waste. i give “TASTE? JESUS!”
“in the morning when they rise, ME, JESUS,”
Gives JESUS. “when they end their day, JESUS.
the world gives them all. I Give “ME, JESUS!”
the world gives them nil. I Give “ME, JESUS!”
JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! JESUS! JESUS!
they give us this world. God Gives “ME, JESUS!”
