Father God, thank YOU that YOU “know ME and show ME.” Thank YOU that YOUR Son and OUR Savior and Deliverer, Jesus Christ, is the only “know ME and show ME” that we will ever need. We can’t hide ANYTHING from You, nor do we need try. Who we try to conceal, Jesus is revealed as “BE.” Who Jesus behooves, we are improved as “NEW.” Jesus is “BE” and “NEW” (BOTH) when we treat ourselves “square deal” (fair treatment) and “approve” (fair treatment). When Jesus says, “Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these MY brethren, you did it to ME’ (Matthew 25:40), Jesus is telling us to treat ourselves “square deal” and “approve.” If we don’t, we don’t treat Jesus “square deal” and “approve.” To know JESUS and show JESUS (BOTH), we must treat ourselves “fair treatment” for, if unfair, “you did it to ME.” And speaking of “unfair” and on a more personal note, I know that a “show” using animals is supposed to be fun and entertaining (BOTH), as in the picture, but I’m not convinced “of the least” that the animals are having fun or being entertained (BOTH). Clearly, the human participants in these “shows” are willingly competing and wanting to entertain the crowds but, if I were in the crowds, I would NOT be having fun and I would NOT be entertained (BOTH). Why? The animals are NOT willingly having fun or being entertained (BOTH). How do I know this? Because I would not willingly want to participate in a “show” like this. If YOU know all of this about ME as a nonhuman animal welfare advocate for GOD, YOU clearly “know ME and show ME.” I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and Approved Name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every other name, including my own name. This prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking “know ME and show ME.” Amen.

(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope [BOTH] in “know ME and show ME” this daily leavened bread.”)

You don’t know you as “know me and show me.”

You don’t show you as who you are “square deal.”

You can’t hide from God who you hide to “be.”

You can reveal to God who you’re “conceal.”

I don’t know me as “know me and show me.”

I don’t show me as who I am “approve.”

I can’t hide from God who I hide to “be.”

I can behoove to God who I’m “improve.”

“You don’t know ME as “know ME and show ME,”

says Jesus. “But I know YOU and show YOU.

Who you conceal, I reveal MYself ‘BE.’

Who I behoove, you improve YOURself ‘NEW.'”

We avoid the world with “you, none I ‘BE.'”

We address God with “know ME and show ME.”

  1. Know me and show me. God does his part to do just that. We can be deceptive and cautious and he will want the truth. We cannot hide for very long.
