(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope [BOTH] in being co-mpletely dependent UPon Jesus this daily leavened bread.”)
You’re co-mpletely dependent upon them.
You’re co-mpletely dependent upon you.
You’re co-mpletely dependent UPon Him,
UPon Jesus, co-mpletely live UP to?
I’m co-mpletely dependent upon me.
I’m co-mpletely dependent upon you.
I’m co-mpletely dependent UPon He,
UPon Jesus, co-mpletely look UP to?
“Be co-mpletely dependent UPon ME!”
says Jesus. “Dependent down here, distress.
Co-mpletely dependent UPon ‘Who Be?’
UPon Me, every need for your success***.”
Everything down here is superfluous.
Co-mpletely dependent UPon Jesus?
***Been a while since I wrote a God Sonnet where a word chosen by me could be substituted for many other words. It happened here with “success.” Feel free to replace this word with any or all of these (or one of your own): Access, address, caress, confess, express, finesse, impress, obsess, process, profess, progress, recess, etc. You might indeed agree with the word I chose, “success,” and if so, thank you very much!👏
I am a 54-year-old Christian. I am highly artistic and creative and enjoy acting, writing plays and poetry and short stories for children, as well as writing to promote nonhuman animal welfare.
