“Father God, thank You that not the external but the internal and eternal (BOTH). No matter the nocturnal, diurnal, hibernal, or vernal, not the external but the internal and eternal. We gain nothing but noise and hurt if it’s external. We gain everything of dream and virtue if it’s eternal. We, more than anything, gain everything if it’s Your Son and our Savior and Deliverer (BOTH), Jesus Christ. We gain Him before song of swan. Nothing external like our limited mind lives on. Everything internal and eternal (BOTH) like our internal and eternal (BOTH) heart lives on. ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths’ (Proverbs 3:5-6). You, Father God, are in the ‘heart business’ (eternal) and not the ‘mind business’ (external), as we trust You with all our heart, lean not on our mind, acknowledge You, and You will make straight our paths. Leaning on our mind (external), crooked our paths but leaning on our heart (internal and eternal), straight our paths. On a more personal note, if I didn’t write of internal and eternal (BOTH) in my journal, I would probably lose my mind. My mind is a chattering box of this and that, often chattering about things that never happened or things that will ever happen. My mind is fantasy, but my heart is reality. I write of internal and eternal (BOTH) in my journal to keep me based in reality (heart) and not fantasy (mind). This is not easy for me, as one with a highly artistic and creative mind, because often enough I prefer to live in fantasy (mind) rather than in reality (heart). But I’m learning to distinguish between these BOTH as ‘God’s HandiWork in progress.’ If you don’t journal, might I suggest starting today? Get a journal that ‘speaks’ to you. It may be the color of the journal or something written on the internal and external (BOTH) of the journal that ‘speaks’ to you. And, by all means, do not worry about what you write in your journal. Let it all out! No one is gonna grade it or read it if you keep it, you guessed it, close to your internal and eternal (BOTH) heart. If you need any help with choosing or learning how to write in your journal, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would feel very blessed to have helped you with this. I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and Song of Swan Name of Jesus Christ, The Name above every other name, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”
(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope [BOTH] in not the external but the internal and eternal [BOTH] of Jesus Christ this daily leavened bread.”)
You gain nothing if you are external.
You gain everything if it’s eternal.
If external, you gain noise nocturnal.
If eternal, you gain dream diurnal.
I gain nothing if I am external.
I gain everything if it’s eternal.
If external, I gain hurt hibernal.
If eternal, I gain virtue vernal.
“In all days, nights, and seasons, eternal,”
says Jesus. “Nothing external lives on.
Write of eternal in every journal.
Live of eternal before song of swan.”
Not the external but the internal.
Not the external but the eternal.
