SAVOR SAVIOR

“Father God, thank You that we can Savor Savior! Thank You for sending us a Savior like Jesus Christ Who we CAN Savor. All else, BOTH what AND who, will not last very long, gone in time, not withstand each test, and even soon against. But with ONLY Jesus, we are “Strong,” “Prime,” “Quest,” and “Sensed.” We are STRONG in Him, PRIME in Him, QUEST in Him, and SENSED in Him. We ‘sense’ that all will be okay when we rely ONLY on Him Who GIVES us EVERYTHING and ONLY asks that we Savor HIM. On a more personal note, I really love that word, “prime.” The word has many definitions to include, ‘of first importance; main; of the best possible quality; excellent; a state or time of greatest strength, vigor or success in a person’s life.’ Now, if all those definitions of ‘prime’ don’t allow me and you to Savor Savior, I’m not sure what definitions would! And don’t think for a second (or hour) that the mathematical definition of ‘prime,’ defined as ‘a number that has no factor but itself and 1,’ is lost on me. Savor Savior has NO factor BUT Him, AND He IS #1! On an even more personal note, I am most in my “prime” when I am speaking up for God’s nonhuman animals who hurt so much. I make them all ‘of first importance, main, of the best possible quality, excellent, a state or time of greatest strength, vigor or success in Timothy’s life,’ as I make God’s nonhuman animals not #1 (that’s JESUS!), not #2 (that’s me!), but rather #3 through #4 through #million! Father God, let us NOT BE guilty of world’s misBEhavior but simply allow us to BE innocent as we Savor Savior. I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and ‘What’s Left For Me?’ Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”

(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope to Savor Savior Jesus this daily leavened bread.”)

You savor what will not last very long.

You savor who will go here, gone in time.

Savor Savior Jesus, what will BE “Strong.”

Savor Savior Jesus, who will BE “Prime.”

I savor what will not withstand each test.

I savor who will be mine, soon against.

Savor Savior Jesus, what will BE “Quest.”

Savor Savior Jesus, who will BE “Sensed.”

“Savor ME, Savior, the One Who Still LIVES,”

says Jesus. “All else will ‘what’s left for me?’

When no one and nothing left, I AM ‘GIVES.’

I GIVE you EVERYTHING, you Savor ME.”

We’re all guilty of world’s misBEhavior.

BE innocent as we Savor Savior.

  1. The word savor is a tricky one for me. I savor my routines, my friends and my family, but that may be misguided over time. I can love them but probably need to savor God.
