“Father God, thank You that not what we planned but Your Son and our Savior and Deliverer, Jesus Christ, Holding our hand. When things don’t go the way we planned, it can really throw us for a loop (or ‘oops‘ ). We can think (and we do), ‘This is NOT what I planned!’ And then, we can think (and we do), ‘Where’s my Faith? Where I’m hiding my Brother? Where I’m hiding He Command?’ Brother Jesus and Commander Christ has not gone anywhere, but we have. Why? Because we were going one way and coasting fine but, oops, ‘another’ and not what we planned. On a more personal note, this sonnet is EXACTLY where I’m at today. I desperately had to write this sonnet because it is EXACTLY where I’m at today. Something has happened that is not what I planned. ‘Where’s my Faith? Where I’m hiding my Brother? Where I’m hiding He Command?’ None of these have left, but I did leave, though hopefully not gone forever. Let NOT this ‘not what I planned’ let me forget: ‘What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?’ (Romans 8:31). His Hand in mine, His Heart in mine, His Peace, no threat. To think He would drop His Hand at this point in my life is an ABSOLUTE LIE!!!! Let NOT me forget this is an ABSOLUTE LIE and contains not one ‘holding my hand’ Truth of God’s Word and Jesus’ Way. And speaking of ‘hand,’ check out those animal hand pictures! They’re absolutely amazing! I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and No Threat Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my ‘where’s my Faith?’ and my belief. Please help me, Father God, “where’s my Faith?” and my belief are lacking. Amen.”
(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in ‘where’s my Faith?” not hopefully gone forever this daily [Jesus Holds my hand!] bread.”)
You’re going one way but, oops, another.
This “another” was not in what you planned.
Where’s your Faith? Where you’re hiding your Brother?
Your Brother Jesus is Holding your hand.
I’m coasting fine but, oops, not what I planned.
Did I think it was about what I planned?
Where’s my Faith? Where I’m hiding He Command?
My Commander Christ is Holding my hand.
“Not what you planned but I’m Holding your hand,”
says Jesus. “Let NOT this let you forget:
I AM for you, NOT against you. My Hand
in yours, My Heart in yours, My Peace, no threat.
Do we think at this point He’ll drop His Hand?
Not what we planned but He’s Holding our hand.
