“Father God, thank You that at every “Goodbye!” there is ALWAYS You at every “Hello!” When You close a door, You open a window, and that Window is Your Son and our Savior and Deliverer, Jesus Christ. And we do not need to crawl nor jump out of ‘ME, Window.’ NO! We can take flight and soar with ‘ME, Window.’ What we will find when we do this is ‘ME, Rainbow.’ Jesus IS our ‘ME, Window’ AND our ‘ME, Rainbow’ (BOTH). Some of us should have said “Goodbye!” to things NOT of You, Father God, long ago, but we can NOW leave these things to say ‘Hello!’ to Jesus! We NOW know that at every ‘Goodbye!’ is God every ‘Hello!’ It’s God staying with AND loving (BOTH) us at every ‘sloppy sow.’ We are in the ‘Goodbye!’ of us for the ‘Hello!’ (‘Increase HIM’) of Jesus, for Your Word, Father God, tells us: ‘He must increase, but I must decrease’ (John 3:30). Help all of us to decrease our ego (flesh) so we can ‘Increase HIM’ (Spirit). On a more personal note, I could have easily rhymed, ‘Goodbye!” in this sonnet with many more words than the one I chose, ‘Magnify’ (go to the end of this sonnet for a collection of words that rhyme with “Goodbye!” that you can choose for how to ‘Increase HIM’). And on an even more personal note, this is the VERY 4TH and VERY LAST God’s ‘Celebrate Recovery Summit’ Sonnet and, so, yes, it is ‘Goodbye!’ For many of us at the Summit, we have fur kids at home who have more than likely been looking through the window (see picture), eagerly awaiting our coming home to say ‘Hello!’ No more worries, fur kids, for we are saying ‘Goodbye!’ TODAY and coming home to you TODAY to say ‘Hello!’ We here at the Summit will also be coming home to ALL our loved ones TODAY to say ‘Hello!’ I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and Rainbow Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith an my belief are lacking.” Amen.”

(God’s VERY 4TH and VERY LAST “Celebrate Recovery Summit” Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in welcoming all my “Goodbye!” to say “Hello!” to my Jesus this daily leavened [“Hello, Jesus!”] bread.)

In your “Goodbye!” there is always “Hello!”

You’re leaving can mean you are arriving.

It’s God closes a door, opens window.

It’s God staying with you through your thriving.

In my “Goodbye!” there is always “Hello!”

There’s leaving should have been left long ago.

It’s God closes a door, opens window.

It’s God loving me through my “sloppy sow.”

“At every “Goodbye!” there’s ME at “Hello!”

waves Jesus. “Celebrate ME, your Window.

You crawl not nor jump out of ME, Window.

NO! You take flight and soar with ME, Rainbow.”

In our “Hello!” God is our “Magnify!”

Increase HIM, as we Celebrate “Goodbye!”

WORDS THAT RHYME WITH ‘MAGNIFY’: Amplify, Beautify, Certify, Dignify, Fortify, Glorify, Gratify, Justify, Multiply, Mystify, Purify, Signify, Verify, etc.

  1. Every goodbye there is an hello. Sometime, it feels like goodbyes are forever. I am waiting for the hello to make it all better.

  2. “Sometimes, it feels like goodbyes are forever.
I am waiting for the hello to make it all better.”

I didn’t know you could rhyme like that, Dag! I thought it was ME who was the sonnet poet?😉

    Love and blessings,
