“Father God, thank You that it is ‘Only’ Your Son and our Savior and Deliverer, Jesus Christ, that Who is ‘Who’ will ‘BE, ME, FREE, and SEE.’ We look around and we tend NOT to ‘BE, ME, FREE, and SEE’ Jesus. We look around and and we tend NOT to ‘BE, ME, FREE, SEE’ others or ourselves. What do we see and what keeps us going? Looking UP and there ‘Only’ is Jesus. None will be much more, nothing of what we once did see, but ‘Only’ our COPE and HOPE (BOTH) of ‘Only’ Jesus! On a more personal note, I woke up this morning feeling there was not one single person on this planet who had any affection for me, hence this sonnet. I felt as though I had been abandoned and was forever lost to everyone. It was this sonnet I wrote that brought Jesus to me in Full Color, Full Majesty, Full Healing of my broken spirit of feeling abandoned by all and yet NEVER abandoned by Jesus. How do I know this? ‘Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you’ (Deuteronomy 31:6). They all just might leave me someday (or maybe they all left me now), but the Lord my God will NEVER leave me nor forsake me. And if you are reading this and thinking to yourself, ‘I NEVER will leave you nor forsake you, Timothy,” then thank you. If you are reading this and thinking to yourself, ‘I WILL leave you AND forsake you, Timothy,’ or “I HAVE left you AND forsaken you, Timothy,’ then thank you for letting me know this, but there ‘Only’ is Jesus! On another personal note, I am a HUGE lover of Vincent Van Gogh, so I really love this pictured artwork. The dog in the artwork is EXACTLY me today, i.e., ‘Look UP.’ And speaking of ‘thank you,’ thank you, Aja Trier, for allowing me to include this artwork with this sonnet (you can see more of Trier’s artwork at https://sagittariusgallery.com/). I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and ‘Only’ Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”
(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I COPE and HOPE [BOTH] to ‘Look Up’ and there ‘Only’ is Jesus this daily leavened [Jesus Showing!] bread.”)
You’ll look around and none will be much more.
You’ll see nothing of what you once did see.
What will you see? Only Who’s “Open Door.”
You’ll see Only Jesus. “Come in. It’s ME!”
I’ll look around and none will be my hope.
I’ll see nothing of what kept me going.
What keeps me going? Only Who’s my “Cope.”
I’ll “Cope” Only Jesus. “I keep Showing.”
“You’ll look around and Only will I BE,”
says Jesus. “Only ME and Only FREE.
None down here can ‘Only’ you what I SEE.
Look UP, not around, and ‘Only’ will I BE.”
We’ll look around and there won’t be an “us.”
We’ll Look UP and there “Only” is Jesus!
