“Father God, thank You that Your Words are to not just read It but Live It! Your Words are BOTH Decreed AND Agreed that It is Love we Dote. How can Your Words be much more than that, as You Loved us SO much that You Sent us Your Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Lord and Savior and Deliverer (John 3:16). I think we all have a tendency to read Your Word, Father God, and scratch our heads and think to ourselves, ‘Can I REALLY live that one?’ Of course, we can’t really live that one, but Your Holy Spirit can Help us live that one. On a more personal note, this sonnet challenged me when it came to the definitions of ‘gloat’ I used BOTH in this sonnet, hence the attached picture of my gloating bear friend. In the second stanza of this sonnet, I used the definition of ‘gloat’ as a verb: ‘gaze at or think about something with great self-satisfaction, gratification, or joy.” This seemed very apropos as what I tend to ‘writ,’ I don’t always ‘gloat’ on it, i.e., gaze at it with joy for what God is having me ‘writ’ for my healing and His Glory. In the third stanza of this sonnet, I used the definition of ‘gloat’ as a noun: ‘malicious satisfaction.” This seemed very apropos as just reading God’s Word without ‘Live it’ can give us a satisfaction that borders on maliciousness, i.e., intense dissatisfaction. Whether verb ‘gloat’ or noun ‘gloat,’ we must not just read God’s Word but Live it! I was also inspired to write this sonnet when I heard a line in a film, SHADOWLANDS, that stuck with me: ‘We read to feel less alone.’ I SO related to that line, as I am an often aloof writer AND reader (BOTH). Often enough, when I write AND read (BOTH), I am alone, as most of us are. But, yes, the words I BOTH write AND read on a page bring me to new characters, new situations, new frontiers, and thus I can feel less alone. Let all of us not only write AND read (BOTH) words on a page to feel less alone but also ‘Live It!’ I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and Doting Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”

(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in don’t read God’s Word but Live It! this daily leavened [Jesus Dotes!] bread.”)

Words on a page are not how you live it.

If you don’t live the words, they are letters.

Take the words you read and live them “permit.”

Permit yourself to live life to get “betters.”

Words on a page are not how I live it.

As an often aloof writer, take note!

If I want others to live what I “writ,”

I need not just read what I “writ” but gloat.

“My Father’s Words are Live It, not just read,”

says Jesus. “If not Live It, just a gloat.

Take My Father’s Words and Live It Decreed.

It’s BOTH Decreed AND Agreed Love we Dote.”

What you live by your words, live none omit.
