“Father God, thank You that we have a choice when it comes to resentment or contentment. We do have a choice, right? When we are in resentment, we are ‘sent’ down the wrong road, and it’s a road of current AND eternal (BOTH) destruction. When we are in contentment, we are in a ‘tent’ like our animal friends in the picture, safe and secure and, yes, content! And You ARE our refuge, our fortress, our ‘tent,’ Father God, and Your Word says: ‘Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes’ (Isaiah 54:2). Help us, Father God, to do just this and to remain in your ‘tent’ as we stay in contentment and we shun resentment. What wonderful words of advice when we are in resentment: ‘Leave them be! Leave Me your Hope!’ Your Son and our Savior and Deliverer, Jesus Christ, is our Cope AND Hope (BOTH) when we can leave them be when they hurt us and leave Him as our ONLY Cope AND Hope (BOTH). On a more personal note, when I feel I am unseen by others which is the majority of the time, I go right into resentment. Help me, Father God, to be content with this and to know that me feeling I am unseen by others might indeed be a good thing (though painful as Sheol!), because I need desire that they see Jesus and NOT me, ONLY Jesus IN and THROUGH me. It’s that dang ego that makes me e’go’ right into resentment. Help me, Father God, be “dang Spirit’ to make a choice for contentment instead of resentment. I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and Cope AND Hope Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”
