“Father God, thank You that we are ‘signif’ and special because of what Your Son and our Savior and Deliverer, Jesus Christ, did for ALL of us! Jesus Sacrificed it ALL so that we might have ‘hearts on fire’ for You, Father God! We are told by ‘the thief’ that we are ‘insignif’ and not cared for, but this IS ‘liar, liar, hearts on fire!’ Some can call ‘the thief’ hocus-pocus, but we know he’s there like the hand in front of our face. In fact, ‘the thief’ has no problem getting right up in our face. But speaking of ‘hand,’ we can and MUST use our hand to rebuke ‘the thief’ by slapping him upside the head and telling him we KNOW that we are ‘signif’ and special in God’s Eyes. ‘The thief’ was ‘liar, liar, hearts on fire’ from the Beginning, and he’ll be the very same to the End when GOD HAS THE VICTORY!!!! The Bible verse that helps me to keep all of this in perspective and in context is ‘Every good and perfect gift is from Above, coming down from the Father of the Heavenly Lights, who does not change like shifting shadows’ (James 1:17). If I’m reading this correctly, it is ‘NOT good’ and ‘NOT perfect’ down low (fallen world) but Above and Higher, it is ‘good and perfect’ coming down from Father God. We are ‘shifting shadows’ but Father God of the Heavenly Lights NEVER changes like a ‘shifting shadow.’ On a more personal note, we hear of natural disasters like fires and newscasters will say, ‘No one was hurt.’ But what about God’s nonhuman animals who are hurt in natural disasters like fires? Are not they ‘someone?’ They ARE ‘someone’ in God’s Eyes, and their lives matter to God just as much as human lives matter to God. So, next time, you hear of a natural disaster and it is said, ‘No one was hurt,’ PLEASE remember that God’s nonhuman animals might very well have been hurt in that natural disaster and that is to be mentioned, even if newscasters don’t mention it. I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and Tried and True Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”

(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in knowing I am ‘signif’ and special in God’s Eyes this daily leavened [Jesus High and Low!] bread.”)

Don’t you be lied to that you’re “insignif.”

Your search must lead you to who you’re in Christ.

You can’t be “insignif” nor prone to tiff

if heart’s on fire for what God had Him Priced.

I’m lied to that not one soul cares for me.

I search high and low for one who just might.

I can’t be NOT cared for as one of He.

My heart’s on fire to put out this “flamed fright.”

“You’re lied to if you think I’m not The Christ,”

says Jesus. “What I Priced is ALL for YOU!

You’re ‘signif’ and special, My Sacrificed.

My Heart’s on Fire for YOU, My Tried and True.”

What we ALL need not down low but Higher.

“The thief” is “liar, liar, hearts on fire!”

  1. I want so much to be signif, yet I already am. Talk about paradoxes. I’m acceptable, special, and not insignif. Doesn’t always ring true, I’m being lied to

  2. Doesn’t always ring true for me either, Dag. That’s why I try to cling to these Bible verses:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
    declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
    (Isaiah 55:8-9).

This always helps me to remember that often enough (if ever), my thoughts and my ways are NOT God’s Thoughts and Ways. I need to align my thoughts and my ways with God’s Thoughts and Ways which are nicely and conveniently and welcomingly available in God’s Word, The Bible.

    Love and blessings,
