“Father God, thank You that narrow the sparrow, You feed and provide SO Wide, as You do all of us. Even narrow the sparrow means the Wide world to You, same as we do. “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows” (Matthew 10:21-31). As I’ve said millions of times, this Bible verse means Father God DOES care and finds worth in sparrows. If He didn’t, He would let them fall to the ground. And it’s narrow the sparrow, ‘Why’d’ He Died, Your Son and our Savior and Deliverer, Jesus Christ. Help us to never forget His Vow, i.e., Why Lived, Why Died, Why Rose on High, Why Freed are we, for when we forget this, our faith is shattered. There is nothing the enemy loves more than to make us believe we are unworthy and unloved by You, Father God. In fact, that is the ONLY objective on the enemy’s resume: ‘The thief cometh not but to steal and to kill and to destroy’ (John 10:10). Too, True, we were once just dust but now look at us! ‘Wonderfully and fearfully made’ (Psalm 139:14) by the Almighty Creator of ALL things! On a more personal note, thank You, Father God, for the drawing You had me do with my inner child, Timmy. As all can see, You have given me Your Love SO Wide to reach out to all who need Your Love SO Wide. You have given me Your Truth which is, as the drawing states, “I have always been a child of God!” All of us have always been Your children and all of us will stay just this way (BOTH). Of course, I’m always disappointed when I cannot add an animal picture to these God Sonnets, but just look at all those animals surrounding the picture of Timmy. Timmy just loves that! I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and Narrow NEVER Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”
(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in ‘Why’d’ He Died, so that
this daily leavened [Jesus Who!] bread.”) ‘I am come that they might have life, and might have it more abundantly’ [John 10:10]
If God feeds narrow the sparrow, how wide
will He feed you. Why so wee of wee trust?
Be wide that you are exactly “Why’d” Died.
Be wide that before This, you were just dust.
If God provides narrow the sparrow, how
wide will He Provide me with all I need.
My faith shatters when I forget His Vow:
Why Lived, Why Died, Why Rose on High, Why Freed.
“How narrow the sparrow, how Wide I Guide,”
says Jesus. “Wide the Love I have for you.
Even narrow the sparrow, Wide My Provide.
Even ‘Why’d’ I Died, narrow NEVER ‘Who.'”
It’s Truth that God’s Love is Who is So Wide.
Too, True, narrow the sparrow, “Why’d” He died.
