“Father God, thank You that when we are disappointment, You are our Appointment. We Appoint You as Lord over our lives through Your Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are soothed by You, our ‘God Ointment.’ We as humans fail one another all the time. It’s that we are human that this happens. It’s that You are Spirit, Father God, that our fate is to Breathe in Jesus for every woe, every joy, every heartbreak, and every death. On a more personal note, I am currently in the losing and thus grieving process of disappointment leading to Appointment. I am in the losing and thus grieving process AGAIN, but what I hope to find is that You, Father God, are Appointed to help me walk through this process. It was me who coined, ‘To walk TO it, you gotta walk THROUGH it.’ Help me, Father God, walk TO it as I walk THROUGH it, unbelievably painful a walk as it is right now. Crawl? Yeah, that sounds about ‘right.’ Help me not to completely shut down, Father God, as I am prone to do in moments like these where losing and thus grieving overwhelm me AGAIN and AGAIN. I’m needing so much comfort right now in this so much discomfort from so much disappointment that prayerfully is leading to God Appointment. And thank You, Father God, that you make products like the one in the picture to soothe Your nonhuman animals when they, too, experience so much discomfort (disappointment) and needing (leading) to ‘ Your Ointment’ (Appointment). We capitulate YOU, Father God, NOT man! I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and Breathing Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”
(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in complete capitulation to Father God through Jesus Christ, disappointment leads to Appointment, this daily leavened [Jesus is Friend!] bread.”)
That they disappoint you is human fail.
That you Appoint God where they fail is Peace.
Who you thought they were, they could not prevail.
Who God thinks you are, why them you release.
That he disappointed me is a fate.
That I Appoint God in his place is “right.”
Wrong was I to need him capitulate.
My Want is my God every day and night.
“That you Appoint Me as Friend is a Breath,”
says Jesus. “Breathe in Me for every woe,
every joy, every heartbreak, every death.
disappointed you are, Appointed Flow.”
There’s something to be said for “God Ointment.”
Soothed disappointment leads to Appointment.
