“Father God, thank You that we can go low by dropping our things. Our things are on borrow, anyway. Your Things, like ‘faith, hope and love….but the greatest of these is love’ (1 Corinthians 13:13), don’t break down, die away, or sway away. Let us be married to Your Things, Father God, and not our things. Thank you that we can swap going low for going High With Your Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ, on His Wings. By dropping our things, we pick up His Things. By dropping our ego, we pick up His Spirit. We think we will lose so much by doing this but, in actuality, we will gain EVERYTHING! Attachment leaves no room for You, Father God, while detachment brings You into the fold for our greater healing and our greater freedom. On a more personal note, my cellphone is not working, hence this sonnet. It’s not easy to be phoneless because I depend on my phone too much. Can you relate? I know I have the option to go to the nearest cellphone shop for help, and likely will do this, but I appreciate the message from You, Father God, that my cellphone is only on borrow from You. It’s a privilege, NOT a necessity. It’s a blessing ONLY on borrow from You. Everything will break down, die away, or sway away EXCEPT God’s Word! And That doesn’t require paid moments on a phone or anything to download. God’s Word is TOTALLY FREE!!!! I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and High Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”
(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in dropping my things and going low, so I can go High for Jesus on His Wings this daily leavened [Jesus Soars!] bread.”)
When your phone breaks, likely to break your hope.
When your Wi-Fi is not high, you are low.
Are your things, but you are better to cope
with Things of God. Your things are on borrow.
When my things fail me, I’m in a “funked” way.
I am dependent on my things to stay.
God’s Things never break down nor die away.
Faith, hope and love never to sway away.
“What if I told you to drop all your things?”
asks Jesus. “Would you be able to drop,
to go low yet High for Me on My Wings?
You leave behind attachment in this swap.”
Nature goes low in waterfalls and springs.
Lower is better, so we drop our things.
