“Father God, thank You that we are granted Your Grace, not that we earned It for none of us deserve It. If we were to boast of Your Grace, we would fall and bawl in the hopelessness of despair. For where there is hope, there is granted Grace, and where there is granted Grace, there is Your Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Any Bible-based religion that instructs us hardcore and ‘Bible beats’ us leaves no room for Your Grace, Father God. These religions believe we can earn It but we can’t. We have to submit to It. On a more personal note, Father God, I would love to be granted Your Grace right about now. While I might not be falling and bawling in the hopelessness of despair right about now does not mean in the next hour I won’t be falling and bawling in the hopelessness of despair. Grant me Your Grace, Father God, for that next hour. Grant me Your Grace in all the hours of my life down here in the electric chair before I am lifted Up There to sit in Your Chair of Grace. And thank You that our beautiful swans in the picture are able to connect at the heart. We can learn a lot from Your nonhuman animals about connecting at the heart. Nonhuman animals have the unconditional love that humans so desperately need right about now. I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and Grace Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”
(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in granted Grace from God never for me to boast this daily leavened [Jesus Lifts!] bread.”)
You are granted Grace, not that you earned It.
If you earned It, you would boast ever more.
More you boast, less you’re granted of submit.
Submit to Grace before you answer for.
I am granted Grace, not that I deserve.
If It came down to deserve, I’d get life!
And yet I lock myself away unnerve.
Grant that I’m granted Grace under the knife.
“You are granted Grace in times of despair,”
says Jesus. “Accept It NOW ‘fore The Fall.
Grace lifts you Up when in electric chair.
Grace granted when you’ve got nothing but bawl.”
When there is no one to grant us embrace,
when we’re granted lost for words, granted Grace.
