“Father God, thank You that we have Your Son and our Savior so we can plead the Blood of Jesus over all our struggles and strife. One of our greatest struggles and our greatest strife is unforgiveness of others and ourselves. We don’t want to be in outskirts with unforgiveness. We want to be Who is Win when we forgive others and ourselves by pleading the Blood of Christ. It’s ‘treasonous’ (‘treason’ showed up in yesterday’s God Sonnet and it’s here today in this one….what’s up with that?) to not forgive others and ourselves. Our flesh tells us NOT to forgive and hold grudges and resent, but our Spirit which is Your Holy Spirit, Father God, tells us to just forgive, just as Jesus forgave. Who Sacrificed did It All for us and maybe the journey of unforgiveness to forgiveness is encapsulated in John 15:13, “Greater love has no one than this: To lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” We must lay down our unforgiveness and forgive just as Jesus laid down His Life so we could be forgiven. When I talk like this, I don’t think it’s me talking but Jesus talking through me. The key for me is to live what Jesus has me talk (and write). On an even more personal note, thank You, Father God, for all our nonhuman animal friends who willingly donate blood to save others’ lives. They are the epitome of pleading the Blood of Jesus. I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and Freed Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”

(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in pleading the Blood of Jesus to forgive others and myself this daily leavened bread [Jesus makes us White Bread!].”)

Did you know you can plead the Blood of Christ?

Plead It over all the struggles you’re in?

Plead the Blood of Jesus Who Sacrificed

All for you. Plead your loss to Who is Win.

I plead the Blood of Jesus over my hurts.

For my unforgiveness, I plead to Bleed.

Who I don’t forgive, I’m left in outskirts.

Who I forgive, I’m in to win His Freed.

“Plead My Blood! I donate Free Transfusions,”

says Jesus. “Plead Me when you’re red with dread.

I forgave them red with hate conclusions.

I forgive you White with Love when you’re bled.”

Here I am again speaking “treasonous.”

Betray no one! Plead the Blood of Jesus.

  1. This was a challenging sonnet, Timothy. I plead my blood, my body and sanctity…. I plead it all with fervor…as I no longer have to carry it

  2. I was thinking today of the film, EASY RIDER, and how I can easily (haha) be called NOT an “easy writer.” I like that my writing is challenging because who doesn’t like a good challenge, right? But, seriously, plead it, plead it, PLEAD IT, and watch how pleased the pleading becomes, Dag! 😉
