“Father God, thank You that we need no longer be bound to this world’s attitudes. Thank You that we only be bound to Your Viable and Reliable Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. When we sail our ship to the port of another down here and he or she is not there to greet us, we are ‘funk!’ It’s because we are bound to the outcomes of another, and another will always fall short. Only Jesus can be found when we sail Your Port, Father God. I can’t tell you how many tours I missed simply because I was sailing myself to the wrong port. I love the picture of my little friends bound together. Maybe they’re not bound together but only there to ‘encourage and build one another up, just as you are doing’ (1 Thessalonians 5:11). We are to encourage and build one another up, just as we are doing, and this is for BOTH Your humans AND nonhuman animals. I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and “NOT moody’ Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”
(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in not being bound to anyone or anything down here but only bound to God’s Love through Jesus Christ this daily leavened [Jesus Reliable!] bread.”)
It’s that you’re bound to outcomes that you grieve.
It’s that you’re bound to me that I fall short.
When you are no longer bound to things, heave
a sigh of relief, for you’ve sailed God’s Port.
Speaking of “port,” I’ve just sailed me to yours.
You weren’t there to greet me; my ship has sunk!
That I was bound to you that I missed tours
you take others on. That is why I’m “funk!”
“When no longer bound to them, viable,”
says Jesus. “No longer bound to their moods.
I’m NOT moody, only reliable.
I can’t be bound of world’s attitudes.”
We are in the habit of being found
by God’s Love when we are no longer bound.
