“Father God, thank You for sending 1 to be our 99% and us 1. This is not easy when our flesh (ego) wants us 100%. Please allow Your Holy Spirit to keep us in check, Your Son and our ‘Stepson’ Jesus Christ 99% and us 1. On a more personal note, where I stand in my life right now is too much my ego and too little my spirit. That said, look at how far I’ve come from when I was 100% and no 1 else had any room to work any good in my life. While today I might not be entirely Jesus 99% and me 1, look at how far I’ve come from when I was 100%. Speaking of “1,” I will be returning back home tonight from my vacation, Father God, and there is 1 that I am praying welcomes me back home. That 1 is my cat, Conrad, who has been away from the home since I’ve been gone. Please Father God, allow my little man, Conrad, a 1 who I adore, to come back home when I get back home. Your Word tells me that You will leave the 99 to find that 1, so let that 1 be my cat, Conrad, who You will bring back to my flock that is my ‘fur kids.’ I am just SOOO excited to be back home tonight with my fur kids who I love and who I know You Love, too, Father God. You Love them, BOTH humans AND nonhuman animals. I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and 99% Name of Jesus Christ to my 1, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”
(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in making Jesus 99% to my 1 this daily leavened [Jesus Did ‘Done!’] bread.”)
Making you 100% is vain.
It gives Jesus no room to work for good.
Making Him 99% is “Gain
God,” making you 1 who’s lost if you could?
Making me 100% is fail.
I don’t know all the rules to gain the game.
I would assume I know myself that well.
All I know is me 1 for who’s His Name.
“I leave the 99 to find that 1,”
says Jesus. “That 1 is My most treasured.
Make Me 99% your “Stepson.”
Step with Me 99 to 1, measured
back to you the Love My Father did “done”
Me!” Jesus 99%, me 1.
