“Father God, how in the world will we be able to love others and expect nothing in return? We know the key word in that statement is ‘world,’ for the world cannot possibly comprehend the idea of loving others and expecting nothing in return. But You, Father God, comprehend this, as You instruct us to be IN the world but not OF the world, just as Your Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ, was ‘they are not OF the world, even as I am not OF it’ (John 17:16). By being IN the world (True Self/Spirit), we can love anyway from Your Love and expect nothing in return. If we are OF the world (false self/ego), we will love and expect to be loved back. Help us to love ALL, BOTH humans AND nonhuman animals, tall to small, and expect nothing in return. Loving Your Way this way, Father God, will be the hardest ‘hard’ we must learn, but we have Jesus Christ to show us Your Way this way. Help us love Above (IN the world/True Self/Spirit) and not below (OF the world/false self/ego). I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and Free-From-Flee Name of Jesus Christ, and this prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”

These feel like impossible instructions. Love others with Abandon and expect nothing in return.
