“Father God, thank You for making us determined, fierce, courageous, underStand? Of course You underStand because we Stand Up in Courage for YOU! Let us tell the world, ‘We will NOT tremble, for our God has made us, you of few, to Stand Up in Courage to encourage the ‘least of these.’ ‘Drive, God!’ so we can be unafraid of anything this world seeks for us to tremble from. It’s Your Strength that is how we Stand Up in Courage. And speaking of ‘you of few,’ the ‘least of these,’ help us, Father God, to always Stand Up in Courage for Your nonhuman animals. We are of the ‘heart-Shift’ to Stand Up in Courage for these ‘few,’ these ‘least of these.’ When we exclude Your nonhuman animals, Father God, from ‘Stand Up in Courage,’ none of Your humans can know the Full and Complete Love, Compassion and Grace You have for BOTH humans AND nonhuman animals through Your Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray all of this in the Wonderful and Precious and ‘Stand Up in Courage’ Name of Jesus Christ. This prayer is answered by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. Amen.”
(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope to Stand Up in Courage for ‘God, Drive!’ this daily leavened [‘Jesus Stands, underStand?’] bread.”)
You lie down ’cause you are of discourage.
What is it exactly that makes you “scare?”
It’s exactly that you have no courage.
Oh, Cowardly Lion, God’s Strength declare!
I lie down ’cause I am too much my fear.
When I’m “lie” this, I Stand in who God made.
I’m made to Stand Up when fear’s my first gear.
I shift to “God, Drive!” to be unafraid.
“What I would Stand Up for is your ‘Stand,'”
says Jesus. “Stand Up for God, you of few:
Determined, fierce, courageous, underStand?
The world says, ‘Tremble!’ I say, ‘Stand as YOU!'”
“Stand” me as I seek God for encourage.
I don’t lie down; I Stand Up in Courage.
