(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; ‘it’s how I cope to hope in the ‘Break’ that comes from being ‘in the world’ and NOT ‘of the world’ this daily leavened [Jesus ‘Breaks’ for the broken like me!] bread.”)
You are broken, though you think you are whole.
You are “of the world” that gives you no “break”
from worries, fears, shame and blame. God’s Console
is the “Break” that will “unbreak” your heartbreak.
The break is that I don’t trust God’s “got this.”
The “Break” for this comes when I get out of my way
and let God’s Way “Break” me into His Bliss.
I’m broken, so I let God “Break” my day.
“I came for the broken, not for the whole,”
says Jesus. “I ‘Break’ you ’cause they ‘broke’ me.
