(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in ‘God is Love’ and nothing more than needs to be this daily leavened [Jesus’ Voice Loud and Clear!] bread.”)
You make a thing more than it needs to be.
You’re loved by many. Ain’t that enough “more?”
You got a vicious critic who steals “free
to be me.” Needs to be God, more in store.
I’m ‘oft found making mountains from molehills.
I get miffed if a thing ain’t what I planned.
What if God is the very thing that stills
my unmet plans? What if there’s peace at hand?
“Don’t make it out more than it needs to be,”
says Jesus. “I am ‘I shall not want more.’
I’m enough for your ‘more.’ God is agree
when you disagree, grace when you keep score.”
It will all be okay with God as “we.”
“God is Love” for more than it needs to be.
