CHRIST: THE 165-POUND CROSS!

A Day In My Life: The Donkey | Donkey, The donkey, Animals
“Father God, thank you for Your son and our Savior, Jesus Christ, who is the 165-pound Cross! We know Christ is more than willing and able to haul what is ‘not ours’ and ‘our way.” Thank you, Father God, for blessing donkeys with the Cross of Jesus Christ on their backs. This lets us know that just as we are not to haul what is ‘not ours’ and ‘our way,’ donkeys are not to haul what humans force them to haul. Christ rode a donkey into Jerusalem and that should be all the weight a donkey ever will need to haul. Thank you, Father God, for hearing my prayer and answering my prayer by my faith and my belief. Please help me, Father God, where my faith and my belief are lacking. In the Wonderful and Precious Name of the 165-pound Cross of Jesus Christ, Amen.”

(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in carrying ‘not mine’ and ‘my way’ but only ‘looking Up to’ the 165-pound Cross of Jesus Christ this daily leavened [Jesus Rises when I sink!] bread.”)

Pound for pound, you’re too light to haul heavy,

too heavy ’cause you haul pounds of “not yours.”

You’ll need a heavy one with a Chevy

or one hauling a Cross pointing all 4’s.

Pound for pound, I’m light faith, heavy hopeless.

Too much “my way” has weighed me down to sink.

My rise is The Prize of One not slopeless,

as He straightens His Cross without a blink.

‘I’m the 165-pound Cross!”

says Jesus. “I hauled That! I can haul you!

Your ‘not yours,’ ‘my way,’ is what you must toss

to Me to haul for you. I’m ‘look Up to.”

No longer our lives where we are the boss.

  1. I feel like I need god to carry my cross; it certainly weighs more than 165 lbs :). I have been looking for that for many years.
