(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in no shifting shadows down here but only Father of Heavenly Lights bringing down from Above stilled Grace this daily leavened [Jesus Rises!] bread.”)
You move as shifting shadows down below.
Taking and racing have become your “dark.”
Don’t you know God is never shift? You flow
the shift, God rests the still of a bench mark.
I’m shifting shadows when I’m moving fast.
What is my hurry? What is this “fast lot?”
“Be still, not shift. I am your God. The last
first.” Tortoise defeating hare was long shot.
“Shift not below for Above is stilled Grace:”
says Jesus. “Only Perfect and Good Gifts.”
They come down from My Father to your place
of shifting shadows where all groan in shifts.”
Father of Heavenly Lights won’t oppose
you and I stilled in world’s shifting shadows.
