(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in hanging my dark hat in The Light’s Hue of Jesus Christ this daily leavened [Jesus Rises!] bread.”)
You’ve been in the dark so long, it’s been light.
What if you knew there’s The Light with no dark?
What if The Light made everything alright?
Would you want The Light? Maybe you want stark?
I’ve become so used to the dark at roam.
It’s where I know each door I’m to walk through,
my “any place I hang my hat is home.”
Can I hang my dark hat in The Light’s Hue?
“In Me, I am The Light of All My Kind,”
says Jesus. “There’s no dark in My Daylight.”
Dark is blind and so, too, The Light can blind
if we’re not used to It. Christ’s pretty bright!
Man, woman, animals, husbands, and wives:
Jesus Christ is The Light of all our lives.
