(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in daring to care that Jesus Christ is my Alpha and Omega, how I dare to Love this daily leavened [Jesus Risen!] bread.”)
Don’t you dare throw in that tattered towel.
Do you dare to bathe all of you in God?
Don’t you dare shun duty for selfish prowl.
Do you dare to surrender from vain plod?
Don’t I dare think it’s near the bitter end.
Do I dare to hold out just one more day?
Don’t I dare tell God, “I care not intend.”
Do I dare to give God the gloried say?
“Don’t dare to care not that I’m your Alpha,”
says Jesus. “Omega, your dare to Love.”
Don’t we dare to give God only halfa
of ourselves. Do we dare whole us above?
We don’t dare to live in vanity fair.
We dare to Love humbly….or do we dare?
