(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in my “lonely sake” but never forsaken for God’s Sake.”)
It won’t be too long before you’re behind,
before you’re left to ask, “Did I matter?”
The sun will set for the last time resigned.
You will set, too, or will you be shatter?
When I’m forsaken, it’s against my sake.
I said or did something to provoke this.
If I had made it for God’s Sake, the break
in my heart could I have deduced God’s Kiss.
“I will never forsake you for God’s Sake,”
says Jesus. “For My Sake and His, We stay.
We’re not going anywhere….here….awake!”
We got Holy Spirit, Their Names we pray.
I promise you no one can overtake
Jesus, never forsaken for God’s Sake.
