(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in hearing The Voice of The Good Shepherd all day this daily leavened bread.”)
You are a sheep led astray for slaughter.
“Can you hear your shepherd’s voice?” Do listen!
The voice is gentle, loving, still water,
green pasture. You need Christ for sheep christen.
The Shepherd calls to me, “I am right here,
leading The Way. Stay close to My Handful.”
I ‘oft want to stray, not stay, for I hear
others complain about their itchy wool.
“The sheep hear My Voice and I rescue them
from their ‘fraid,” says Jesus. “I knock, they ‘baa.'”
We open the door of our hearts to Him,
The Good Shepherd. He brings us to “Dada.”
God is our God who will not make our choice.
Choose His Shepherd because we know His Voice.
