(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in remembering all through the day and until ‘nightie’ that my name is written down in God’s Book”)
You have your name written down in God’s Book.
Next to your name, it reads, “with Love decreed.”
Can God erase your name from overlook?
Written in pen or pencil? Ink or bleed?
In God’s Book, my name is toward the back.
“V” for “Verret.” I am certainly last.
“W,” “X,” “Y,” and “Z” is another stack
of Books. My name last brings God to me fast.
“Rejoice! Your names are written in God’s Book.”
Rejoice! We are Loved by the Almighty
God who Loved us first, last not in outlook.
We Love through our day until we’re “nightie.”
It hurts! YES! It’s “why me?” YES! Breathe and Look!
We have our names written down in God’s Book.
I’m not always sure I feel that my name is written in gods book. But I will continue to hope
