(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in acceptance of me and God’s Love when I expect ‘my way’ to go my way.”)
The hours you waste not accepting your start
to finish and the middle in between.
You’re’ tested, sure, but you’ll pass if you’re “smart”
to know you were not birthed to be terrene.
When I can’t accept “accept,” I’m “expect.”
I expect you to accept my “want ad.”
When you fall short and me, too, disconnect!
“He’ll never ‘get me,” I cry. I get mad.
“Accept! Believe in God. Believe in me,”
says Jesus. When we expect, we’re “except.”
We need love except we feel unworthy.
We accept God is Love. We intercept.
God’s Ways are not our ways. We’ll feel unkept.
We keep God when we don’t expect….accept!
