I actually sat in a church “another day” when a pastor told the whole congregation that we wouldn’t see our pets in Heaven. If I’m being honest, I wanted to punch his lights out or at least say, “Where in the Bible does it say that?” God already told me I would see my pets who passed away, as well as all animals, in Paradise. I listen to God, not some misinformed and maybe animal-hating pastor. “Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they say.” Never went back to that church, you can be sure, and maybe others present that “another day” with pets they love or loved didn’t go back either.

(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in another day [TODAY] in Paradise with and for Jesus”)

You got another day in paradise.

Another day to right your many wrongs.

Shame you see the day as “it’ll suffice.”

Are you missing out on where hope belongs?

Another day in paradise is me

leaving behind what the world wants to give:

False hope. Utopia is Heavenly

where all love all day; forgive, not relive.

“Now you will be with me in Paradise,”

says Jesus to us who are guilty souls.

Our guilt: We think it’s about us. Advice:

Think it’s about Jesus. Aim: Selfless goals.

To say we are ourselves is imprecise.

We’re Him another day in Paradise.

  1. Yes, it does need to be less about us. It goes against our human nature, but our spiritual nature says we must decrease. Jesus is who is someONE Bigger! 🙂
