(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in showing my unique hand dealt in God’s Card Game”)
You were not expecting the cards they dealt.
The hand you got is you disappointed.
“Can I see your cards?” you ask them heartfelt.
“No! You play your own hand God anointed.”
I lay my cards on the table. They face
up to show I’ve got red and black clubs, hearts,
diamonds, spades. I’ve got Kings, Queens, Jacks, and Ace.
All useful when hand dealt. All play their parts.
“Seek out what’s your special spiritual gifts.”
Some prophesy, some speak in tongues, some lead,
some heal, some are wise, some encourage lifts
of others. Each hand dealt, God has decreed.
If they have a different hand, don’t blame!
We all have unique hands in God’s Card Game.
I feel I have a hand I don’t want. I feel like this message was speaking to me

I love it when the sonnet speaks to someone. That is the whole point, I think 😉 It definitely spoke to me, Dag!
