THE MISSING LINK

Please don’t let him or her live like this. Break the chain so he or she will not miss the missing link.

(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in not missing the missing link, for God is the ONLY link I don’t want to miss”)

You aren’t kind to you. It’s the missing link

to an otherwise perfectly-hooked chain.

Is it that you can’t forgive yourself? Think

back to what happened that began your pain.

My missing link is none will “miss” my sigh

when I go down to drown, when I’m no more.

There is one who will weep when I go “bye.”

He’s Jesus. His Tears bring me back to shore.

God didn’t miss a link when we were made:

Special, original, unique from dust.

We don’t settle for less. We are UPgrade

by God of the UP Heavens who loves just.

Let us love loud, throw in that kitchen sink.

That way we will not miss the missing link.
