(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in peacefully having the right words to give others and others to give me from ‘God is Love'”)
You want them to render you the right words.
“You are SO awesome!” are words you savor.
Do YOU think you’re awesome? Two-thirds
from them, one-third from you, is disfavor.
When I don’t get the right words from them, done
with them. I discard them from their words’ stench.
I don’t clean them. Let them stink as I shun
them. It’s me who smells from digging hurt’s trench.
“If it is possible, live peacefully,
as it depends on you.” Depends on Him.
When they hurt us, and will, “increasefully”
Jesus. Ego is just a phantom limb.
Them thinking bad of us is for the birds.
God is Love. Love’s not bad. It’s the right words.
