(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in Jesus’ Living Waters and God’s Love this daily leavened bread, ‘for all else is vanity'”)
It’s vain of you to think your pain is yours.
It belongs to us all when you’re “no-good.”
In your times of trouble, the dinosaurs
are brought back to life. Your hurts are childhood.
It’s vain of me to stew about “past pain,”
for now is new, breath is best, love is “Look!”
When I am true to me, all get the gain,
God gets the Glory, I get the Graced Book.
Jesus wanted water from the well deep.
He told the Samaritan woman, “Go
deep for My Living Waters. You will reap
what you ‘vain’ sow. I am ‘thirst no more.’ Flow!”
God’s Love for all speaks nothing profanity.
Don’t kill Love, “for all else is vanity.”
