(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in God Icing my stripes and cuts today for to live not in pain”)
When you will die, you will fall fast asleep.
You’ll dream of nothing, no one, no, no, no.
You will be dead. You will not even weep.
Now is how you must live. Love’s how you glow.
When I will die, the storms will be no more.
No more the rain and wind to wet and toss
me top, bottom, to, fro, outdoor, indoor.
Now is how I must live to cut aCross.
“Death has been swallowed up in victory.
Where, O Death, is your sting?” In Jesus Christ.
He brought down Love as benedictory.
Death did not sting His Stripes and Cuts. God Iced.
We have been Priced to love and to forgive.
To live is NOT for the dead; it is for to live.
