(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in loving and getting along with everyone no matter what for how long”)
For how long will you burn candles, both ends?
You will have to extinguish your inflamed
heart of hate; you must light up your amends
as long as it takes for how long you’ve blamed.
For how long will I hide away in caves?
I will have to concave deep to my fears.
I must exit the comfort of pride’s graves.
Raised up! No longer concealed from my peers.
“Once you have suffered for a little while,
God of all Grace will re-establish you.”
God will Re-Jesus us. Off to an isle
we’ll go where man and animal brand-new.
‘Fore we’re whisked away, we must get along.
We must Love no matter what for how long.
