SANTA JESUS AFTER THE RIOT

(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in being on Santa Jesus’ ‘Nice List’ after the riot”)

You would riot if you had a reason.

What good is a rebel without a cause?

Your anger is your d”anger.” High Treason.

Riot for Peace, for Grace. Please press the Pause.

I riot in my mind and my heart falls

in with the mob rule: To end all despair.

Am I alone in my riot that calls

for Peace, Pause, Be Still, Breathe, Night and Day Prayer?

“Peace I leave with you, Peace I give to you.

Please don’t riot for nothing of a cause.

My Peace is not of this world. I am who

I say I am, and I am Santa Claus,

Santa Jesus, giving you Love Gifts. Quiet!

I’m comin’ to town after the riot.”
