(“G”od’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in a ‘g’ood day with ‘G’od”)

When you groan to God, that’s good. Your grumble

about God is not. You don’t trust The Plan.

Your suffering is to get you humble.

It sucks, I know, to admit you’re “less Than.”

I’m prone to groan and I’m “grumble crumble.”

On my best days, I’m both praise and complain.

I’m ready to love, ready to rumble.

I’m West Side Story, Sharks and Jets for reign.

“So the last shall be first, and the first last.”

Matthew 20:Sixteen – Called or chosen?

Many called, few chosen. “In pain” is vast.

“In hope” is “less Than.” Are we all cozen?

“g” for “g”roan or “g”rumble, no “g”uarantees.

“G”od, forgive us at our worst. “G”od, please ease….
