(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in God increasing what all around us is decreasing”)
You’re increasing. You’re reaching high to break
through. You’re plummeting low to where you’ll fall
apart. There’s something about your intake.
It’s “outgive” you’re not giving. “Takes” your call.
I’m increasing. I’m sure to blow up soon.
I’m decreasing. I’m sure to blow down you.
All the day long, I’m numb; inopportune.
You and I are NOW, not tomorrow’s to
know. “‘NOW’ has enough troubles of its own.”
Matthew Six:34 – “Down” increasing.
We’re talking out of control; we are groan.
We’re talking God in control, policing.
We’re in the red, folks; fear is unceasing.
We’re in the clear, folks; God is increasing.
