(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in trusting that I am always the problem, NOT them, and trusting that God, NOT me, is always The Solution”)
It’s you who can’t get the facts straightened out.
It’s not like you haven’t been taught before.
It’s because you want water in a drought.
It’s because you want all for nevermore.
It’s me, not them, who loses sleep from “self.”
It’s me, not them, who indulges in “me.”
Myself, find myself, lose myself, kill “self.”
You, them, her, him; the road to “nobody.”
“Deny thyself, get up, and follow ME.”
Luke Nine:23 – “Our Father guides thy.”
Thy can’t straighten the course for their journey.
Thy can’t take it for them; thy cannot try.
When we say, “YOU’re why I hurt,” they just nod.
Problem: Us, not them. Solution: Trust God.
That one was powerful
