(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in God urging on in the urgency [or emergency?]”)
You are urging on in the urgency.
You wonder if you’ll ever love again.
You are the push when self-absorbency.
You are the pull when “took it on the chin.”
I am the urgency, the urging on.
“Where did everybody go?” I beseech.
They scattered, they ran for the hills; withdrawn;
leaving me alone: Emergency breach.
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Matters the verse? NO! God is numberless.
God is Word, not math; lover, not world view;
friend, not foe….someone stop me! NO! RUSH! PRESS!
This: divergency or convergency?
That: God urging on in the urgency.
