(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope when I can’t breathe, so I let Jesus breathe for me”)
You pass judgment on those who you deem “wrong.”
“I’ll NEVER act like that!” you declare. “Why?”
You WILL act like that when you lose your “strong.”
When your rage is up, outrage is in….down sigh.
I can feel the heaviness in stillness.
The calm and clarity in confusion.
White coats fail me of my mental illness.
No meds can cure what is this conclusion.
I just can’t write this sonnet much longer.
John 3:16 – God loves this world. JESUS.
Call me “doom and gloom guy.” Fine. You’re stronger.
We, weak. We, heavy, We, sad. He loves us.
They were eating and drinking; grown, no teethe.
The end came out of nowhere. “WE CAN’T BREATHE!”
This hit home, Timothy

Hey Dag: Yeah, it hit me hard, too. Last night, after I wrote the blog post about violence, I watched a video compilation of the murder of George Floyd. Like many, I was SOOO angry and SOOO sad. It enraged me. Rage is just about to tear this world completely apart. The Bible constantly and consistently says, “be watchful, be alert….wait.” That’s exactly what I’m trying to do! Blessings and much love always, Dag – Timothy
