(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in a ‘bottomless trash can’ life”)
You’ve been dumped by many; it’s left you lost.
That they left weighed on you a secret sin.
A boulder of bereavement. Fingers crossed
never again would you attach all in.
I’ve been dumped. Bottoms of trash cans, my dwell-
ing, my know-ing my home away from roam.
Stay down, stay low, only go up to sell,
“I got hurt when I got dumped. It hit home.”
“God rescued us from dead-end, dark trash cans.”
Colossians 1:Thirteen – Now, we release
post-rescue. God did His Part. We, our plans,
are expired. New release: Eternal Peace.
We’ve come such a long way from being dumped.
God rescued. We release. No more life clumped.
