CRIB DEATH

Got a chance to experiment with a drawing on a crumpled piece of paper. Did you notice that at the bottom of the crib in the drawing, there is “black smoke” made by the creases that seems to suggest the crib is on fire? Maybe not? And what happened to the baby or babies in the crib? Who abandoned who?

(a drawing and poem by Timothy J. Verret)

CRIB DEATH is you not holding me

you preoccupied with you

you fearful with me

me in conflict

CRIB DEATH is me not trusting you

me preoccupied with me

me fearful with you

you in conflict

CRIB DEATH is

an empty CRIB

nobody HELD nobody

nobody TRUSTED nobody

preoccupied

fearful

ALL Abandoned

ship

ALL

CRIB

death.
