(God’ Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in waiting for God through so much ‘late, frustrate….wait'”)
You say, “God won’t help me. I’m too far gone.”
But you expect to go even farther
than that. It will have to be so. “Come on!”
It’s when you’re that far gone that He’s Father.
Devastation finds me. It seals my fate.
“Did I bring it upon myself?” I ask.
“Yes, you did,” The Voice answers. “You don’t wait
for me to calm your storms. You take to task.”
“Wait for God. Wait for God. Patience. Wait. Wait.”
ALL Bible verses – God’s got it….”God” it.
We’re “I want the quick fix-it” types. Our gait
to the gate is full throttle, blown gasket.
“God won’t help us.” Yes, God will if we’re straight
with Him, if we’re patient. Late, frustrate….wait.
