THEM THINGS NEVER WERE OURS IN THE FIRST PLACE

“Who owns all them things? God does. They were His in the first place.”

(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in all earthly things and people and animals, including myself, NOT being owned by me, because they simply and always have belonged to God”)

You don’t own them things that never were yours.

You bought and stored them things in chest of drawers.

when you could pull them things out, keep your scores

of what and who you possessed, them things yours.

I own nothing, not even this penned hand.

My emotions? Them things I own about.

Them one things I’m prone to decipher grand,

Columbus explore, divide, conquer route.

“Set your minds on them things you never owned.

Colossians Three:2 – Of heaven, not earth.

God brought down them emotions yet postponed.

Surrender to God’s Time, wait for His Berth (Birth).

We forfeit ownership: God’s Rest from chase.

Them things never were ours in the first place.
