(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; “it’s how I cope to hope in God’s Prod. I won’t let people prod me; that’s God’s Job”)
What’s it to take that you might be fixed whole?
Might it be someone who is outside you?
A denied love that got you cruise control
crash? ‘Cause you’re heading that way. No Take 2.
I am not fixed by you! I am far gone.
It won’t take you to buckle my one shoe.
Will take an act of Congress to wait on
me hand and foot, ’cause I’m no revenue.
“Perfect Peace from thoughts that are fixed on you!”
Isaiah 26:Three – Fixed by God.
I know we want someone else to undo
and unscrew, but it’s God to do the prod.
Fixed by God is when we are fixated
on Him, not you or me. We are weighted.
