(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; it’s how I cope to hope in my pain being not in vain but rather for His Gain through His Pain)
You have what is gained in what you have lost.
You broke bread when you found Him waiting there.
He was what you gained in your Holocaust.
He fed you, held you, loved you; He was Share.
I hold up with the lost, not what is gained.
I’m back to basics, to childhood, to hurt,
to not being seen. “Hey! I’m here! I’m chained!”
But He broke bread and chains to break my quirt.
“What was gained was lost for the sake of Christ.”
Philippians 3:Seven – All is worthless gain
until we have lost it all for Him; priced
is priceless when One has gained us through pain.
We have what is gained when we have lost want.
We must suffer a spell with Him, feel daunt.
