CAST LOTS

Now when the soldiers had nailed Jesus to the stake, they took his outer garments and divided them into 4 parts, one for each soldier, and they also took the inner garment. But the inner garment was without a seam, being woven from top to bottom. SO they said to one another: “Let us not tear it, but let us cast lots over it to decide whose it will be.” This was to fulfill the scripture: “They divided my garments among themselves, and they cast lots for my clothing.” SO the soldiers actually did these things. – John 19:23-24

(God’s Sonnet by Timothy J. Verret; it’s how I cope to hope. “Dear God, I pray that what the Holy Spirit has had me write here will be of comfort and enlightenment to those, like myself, who desire to know who Jesus is, what Jesus went through, why Jesus went through it, and what is at “stake” with CAST LOTS. Amen.”)

You are all hands in and open; cast lots.

You’re looking to make your “stake” a jackpot.

Your hands are wheel and deal. Your stomach? Knots.

You ignore Him there on His “Stake.” Blind spot.

In my cast lots, 4 red stakes pierced my heart.

I closed shop, went out of business; FORECLOSE!

But worse than that, I DIED! I CAME APART!

No lots were whole, alive. ALL was EXPOSE!

“His Garments, 4 parts, 4 did they cast lots.”

of doing what “wee” want on our anthill.

So, the dice are snake eye’s, the serpent’s tempt.

Our cast lots are for Jesus as Preempt.
